Tanner Jones (he/him, b. 1998) is a composer, multimedia artist, and improviser whose work explores saturation and liminality. His music has been performed and recorded by Jay Campbell of JACK Quartet, the NouLou Chamber Players, the Murray State University Concert Choir and Brass Choir, and the University of Louisville Symphony Orchestra. Tanner is the winner of the KMEA Collegiate Composition Competition and the Dr. T.Y. Huang and Mrs. Mary Huang Commission Competition. His music has been presented at NSEME, the SPLICE Institute, New Music on the Bayou, and the University of Louisville New Music Festival, with an upcoming performance at the SEAMUS National Conference.

Tanner holds a B.M. in music composition from Murray State University and an M.M. from the University of Louisville, where he served as an instructor of music theory. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin, where he serves as a teaching assistant in the Experimental and Electronic Music Studios and studies with Januibe Tejera. His mentors have included Drs. Mike D’Ambrosio, Steven Weimer, Allison Ogden, and Krzysztof Wołek.
